Shadey Poplar Ranch is home of the "Red Howell Memorial Roping".  This Roping is held on the 4th weekend in August every year.  
2008 Roping: Aug 23, 2008 Roping will be at 3pm, hosted this year, by the old "Bar 'K' Ranch", north of Monroe on Hwy 99.  $30/man Round Robin.  Call 541-285-5991 for info and directions.  Easy to find with Lots of Parking available, and lights on the arena.

PLAYDAYS:  Summer 2008 : Aug 23 9am.  Jackpot races, races will include Barrels, Poles, Figure 8, Flags, and Key Hole.  Entries are $3/race or $15/day, number of entrants will determine how many places we pay.  Age groups are 8 and under, 9-12, 13-17, and 18 and over.  This playday will be held at the old "Bar 'K' Ranch", North of Monroe on Hwy 99 next to the Farrier Supply Store.  Easy access and lots o parking. 541-285-5991

FRI.&SAT Roping:  Roping starts around 6-7pm over at Rod Howells arena, The old "Bar 'k' Ranch".  We have lights, so we quit when everyone is done.
